Mahogany Rise Primary School – PKCF Grant: $30,000
Grant Project: Installation of a Rebound Wall
The school’s aim over the past number of years has been to ensure the school grounds are safe, inclusive and engaging. MRPS has a Student Voice Team (SVT), made up of students from across all year levels. One of the ideas coming out of the SVT was the installation of a rebound wall. This is essentially a large brick wall where students can play a variety of sports during break times and PE. For example, soccer, cricket, down ball etc. This allows students to be physically active, while at the same time develop important social skills such as teamwork, inclusion and cooperation.
